  • Brookfield’s ghouls and goblins for a night stayed dry during the Brookfield Parks and Recreation Halloween Costume Contest thanks to Trinity United Methodist Church and a host of other supporters. Over 240 children and an undetermined number of adults turned out at Trinity Methodist Fellowship Center in the scariest costumes they could put together. The Costume Contest winners were: Ages 0-3: 1st Place/3-month-old Brennen Grimshaw as a Cabbage Patch Doll; 2nd Place/8-month-old Alexia Rhoden as Little Bo Peep; 3rd Place/6-month-old Knox Lindsay; Honorable Mention/Ernie Herington as Bill The Science Guy. Ages 4-6: 1st Place/Rylee White (age 4) and Timothy Kerr (age 6) as Raggedy Ann and Andy; 2nd Place/Lexi Kiel (age 4) as a pink owl; 3rd Place/Blayde Lindsay (age 4) as a skeleton/pirate. Ages 7-9: 1st Place/Shayton McCormick (age 7) as a mad scientist; 2nd Place/Nicolas Kerr (age 8) as Clark Kent; 3rd Place/Lani Arnold (age 9) as Broke Girl. Ages 10-14: 1st Place/Jacob McCormick (age 12) as a hobo; 2nd Place/Tori Kramer (age 13) as a peacock; 3rd Place/Hali Rollison (age 11) as a vampire/zombie. Ages 15 and Up: 1st Place/Brittany Sturguess (age 24) as a pregnant skeleton; 2nd Place/Frank Clark (age 16) as The Riddler; 3rd Place/Brittany Hernandez (age 29) as a vampire bride. Bicycle Drawing: The winner in the drawing for a bicycle was Kaylib McCracken. The bicycle was donated by Precision Auto.
