Earl E. Pollard, 87, Rothville, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Pershing Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Evangelical United Methodist Church, Brookfield, with Tom Parks officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 1, 2013, at the church with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will be by Sumner American Legion in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Earl Eugene was born June 7, 1926, in Marceline, son of Alva and Leola (Shoop) Pollard. On November 20, 1954, he was united in marriage to Joyce Stoner in Marceline.
He was a Presbyterian, a member of Brookfield Fire Department, Linn County Deputy Sheriff, Warren Masonic Lodge #74, Shrine Provost, American Legion, and a retired welder in the Brookfield area for 60 years.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of the home; sons, Dennis and Ronnie Pollard, Rothville, and Darrell and wife, Jackie Pollard, Marceline; one brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Mary Lee Pollard, Rothville; grandchildren, Justin and wife, Andrienne Pollard, Brookfield, and Amber Pollard, Marceline; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
