Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Meyer, 83, Columbia, and a former Rothville resident, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at the University Hospital, Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Breshears Memorial Chapel, Brunswick, with Gail Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until service time Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in the Elliott Grove Cemetery, Brunswick. Pallbearers will be Jeston Alterauge, Steve Faris, Mike Faris, Clent Meyer, Larry Oldvader and Doug Henke.

Betty was born on March 27, 1930, in Keytesville, daughter of Ted and Thelma Smith Faris. She was married to Roland Gale Meyer on September 23, 1950, in Moberly.
She graduated in 1947 from Keytesville High School. She had worked for Whittiker Cable and Cabrook Manufacturing, Brookfield, for a total of 25 years. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roland, of the home; two sons, Faris Meyer and wife, DelDee, Salisbury, and Danny “D.D.” Meyer and wife, Sheila, Columbia; one daughter, Mona Sites, Chillicothe; one brother, Gerry Faris and wife, Bonnie, Marshall; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother and sister-in-law Warren and Mae Faris.
