  • Allen C. (Butch) Bixenman, 82, Salisbury (the Wien community) died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center, Marceline.

  • Allen C. (Butch) Bixenman, 82, Salisbury (the Wien community) died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center, Marceline.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Wien, with Father Jerry Kaimann officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the church in Wien, with rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wien. Pallbearers will be Alex Stanley, Paul Bixenman, Kyle Fessler, Steve Witt, Curtis Bixenman, and Jared Bixenman.
    Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home, 1720 N. Missouri, Marceline, MO 64658.
    Butch was born November 14, 1930, in Wien, son of Carl A. and Johanna Elizabeth (Niemeier) Bixenman.  He married Eva Sue Solomon on June 18, 1955.
    Butch was a veteran of the United States Army and a farmer all his life. He was a member of the Marceline VFW, St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Wien, and a Wien community resident all his life.
    Survivors include his wife, Eva Sue Bixenman, of the home in Salisbury; one son, Dennis Bixenman and wife, Pam, Marceline; two daughters, Sherry Courtney and husband, David, Marceline, and Bridgett Fessler and husband, Glen, Salisbury; two brothers, Ollen and James Bixenman, both of New Cambria; three sisters, Opal Witt, Bucklin, Violet Watson, Callao, and Debbie Stanley, Camdenton; six grandchildren, Heather Nanneman, Kyle Fessler, Holly Fessler, Tracie Moore, Paul Bixenman, and Kayla Bixenman; and four great-grandchildren, Raylynn and Allie Moore, and Alyssa and Isaac Nanneman.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Jeanette.
