  • Phillip Fred Fisher, age 57, of Marceline died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Pershing Memorial Hospital ER.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Marceline First Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Pallbearers will be Steve, Jason, and Justin Teeter, John Buescher, Mike Wright, and Shelby Neighbors with John Saunders, Collin Hall and Chris Heller as honorary pallbearers.  The family suggest memorials be made to Marceline First Baptist Church or Marceline First Responders or Marceline Booster Club and these  may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri, Marceline, MO 64658.
    Fred was born at Marceline, Missouri on November 25, 1955 to Phillip Russell and Patsy Ruth (Fiala) Fisher.  He married Nancy Carlson on September 22, 1979 and she survives him.
    Fred was a lifelong resident of Marceline, was a 1974 graduate of Marceline High School and worked at Walsworth Publishing.  He was baptized in the Marceline First Baptist Church where he was attending, was an avid Marceline Tiger fan, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working at his farm.
    Survivors include his father and step-mother, Phillip Russell Fisher and Carol, Carthage; daughters, Stephanie Collins and husband Bradley, Marceline, and Angela Fisher, Springfield; son, Tracy Carlson and wife Cathy, Marceline; sister Rustina Teeter and Steve, Marceline; and two grandchildren, Emersyn Grace and Camden Bradley Collins.
    He was preceded in death by his mother Patsy.
