  • Tigers First, Bulldogs Fifth at Marceline

  • Despite wind and blustery conditions, the annual Marceline Invitational golf tournament took place earlier this week at the Marceline Golf Course. The Tigers varsity took top honors, while Brookfield’s varsity took fifth.

  • Despite wind and blustery conditions, the annual Marceline Invitational golf tournament took place earlier this week at the Marceline Golf Course.  The Tigers varsity took top honors, while Brookfield’s varsity took fifth.
    In team scoring, the Tigers varsity shot a 349, finishing ahead of LaPlata and Macon by two and 17 strokes, respectively.  The Dogs varsity shot a 382, finishing ahead of the Tigers JV, who shot a 386.  Brookfield trailed Salisbury, and all local teams finished ahead of:  Milan, Paris, Westran, Carrollton, and Glasgow.
    Trevor Hamilton of Marceline, shooting with the JV, took first place overall with an 81.  Nate Florine of Marceline took fourth with an 83.  Brandon Newman of Marceline took fifth with an 83.  Tanner Sims of Marceline took eighth with an 88.
