Jerry Barrows, 77, Purdin, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, near Purdin.
Funeral service were held at 10 a.m. today, April 21, 2014, at Linneus United Methodist Church, Linneus, with Rev. Sue Lambert officiating. Visitation began at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield. The family received friends from 6 until 8 thate evening. Burial was in Purdin Cemetery, Purdin.

Jerry Joe, was born July 20, 1936, in Purdin, son of Ervin Ray and Mary Audree (Warren) Barrows. On December 27, 1958, he married Virginia Ilene Murrain.
Jerry was a farmer and a member of Linneus United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home; three sons, Phillip Barrows and wife, Joni, Smithville, Robert Barrows and wife, Tammy, Linneus, and Cary Barrows and wife, Stacy, Smithville; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Barrows, Benjamin Barrows, Kelly Barrows, Bryan Barrows, Mandy Barrows, Trent Bertsche, Tara Bertsche, Megan Barrows, Madison Barrows, and Brett Barrows; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene and Martha; and his mother-in-law, Pauline Dudley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings, Granville, Maurice, Ray, Ronald, Nelda and Gerald.
