Anna Marilyn Palmer, 87 formerly of Clifton Hill, died Wednesday, April 30,2014 at Moberly Nursing and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Summerville Funeral Home, Salisbury, with Rev. Larry Smith officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, May 2, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, north of Clifton Hill. Pallbearers are Russ Palmer, Chris Palmer, Jon Palmer, Kent Hinkle, Kevin Hinkle, Terry Gibson, Dustin Johnson, Douglas Palmer, Timothy Gibson (in memoriam), Brian Ramsey, Brian Rehg, and Florian Hammer.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Carrnel Cemetery.
She was born January 14, 1927, at the country home of her Eagan Grandparents near Thomas Hill, daughter of Jiley Douglas and Myrle Gladys (Eagan) Turner. She married James Leo Palmer on May 6, 1946 in Thomas Hill. He preceeded her in death, August 25, 2004.
Marilyn was a homemaker, and had worked at P.N. Hirsch Department Store in Moberly, Salisbury Savings Bank and sold Avon for several years. She was a graduate of Thomas Hill High School Class of 1945. She was a member of the Mt. Carrnel Presbyterian Church., Women of the Moose, Mt. Carmel Neighborly Neighbors Extension Club, Modem Homemakers Club and the Kupple and Kin Klub.
Survivors include her four children, Royce Lee Palmer and wife, Susie, Sturgeon, Ronda Sue Hinkle and husband, Keith, Salisbury, Dana Lynn Bender and husband, Jerry, Boonville, and Dale Alan Palmer and wife, Theresa, Brookfield; sisters-in-Law and brothers-in-Law, Louise Palmer Larson and Lorene Palmer Trickey and husband, Nelson, Columbia, and Eddie Palmer, Atlanta, Ga.; 16 grandchildren, Russ Palmer (Monica) Columbia, Chris Palmer (Necole), Jon Palmer, January Rehg (Brian), Columbia, Michelle Ramsey (Brian), Salisbury, Kent Hinkle (Heather), Clifton Hill, Kevin Hinkle (Renee) Woodbury, Minn., Jessica Hammer (Florian) Sedalia, Terry Gibson, Boonville, Jessica Barger

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jiley Douglas Turner and Myrle Gladys (Eagan) Turner; grandson, Timothy Gibson; brother-in-law Walter Larson; uncles William Howard Turner, and Ray Eagan; and aunt Noma Lee Turner Harlan.
