Doris Lewis, 91, Brookfield, died Monday, May 19, 2014, at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, May 21, 2014, with the family will receiving friends from 6 until 8 in the evening. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery, Brookfield.

Doris Maxine, was born September 6, 1922, in Maryville, daughter of Orville and Edna (Thompson) Ripley. On November 18, 1942, she married William Lewis. He preceded her in death July 29, 1985.
Doris had worked for several restaurants in the Brookfield area over the years. She had worked in the office at the Brown Shoe Company, Brookfield, and in the Dietary Department at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Brookfield, where she was a member of United Methodist Women Ladies Auxiliary and the Harmony Class.
Survivors include one son, Bill Lewis and wife, Sarah, Milan; two step-children, Doris Mosley, Brookfield, and William (Ronnie) Lewis and wife, Pat, Altus, Okla.; grandchildren, Marc Lewis and Matt Lewis, both of Columbia, Gregory Lewis, Kansas City, Garry Mosley, Excelsior Springs, Pam Littrell and husband, Jeff, Brookfield, William Bryan Lewis and wife, Marsha, and Denise Brewer and husband, Rick, all of Altus, Okla.; one sister, Erma Rulon, Brookfield; two brothers, Donald Ripley and wife, Margie, Waynesville, and Dorman Ripley and wife, Pat, Brookfield; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by four grandchildren, Terry Mosley, David Mosley, Ronnie Dean Mosley, and Michael Lewis; one sister, Helen Bryan; and two brothers, Joe Ripley and Harold Ripley.
