  • Darrell Lisby, 86, Wheeling, died Monday, July 14, 2014, at Livingston Manor, Chillicothe.
    A funeral service will be Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Pastor Sue Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling. Visitation will begin Friday, July 25, 2014,  at 1 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 in the evening; a Masonic Service will begin at 6 p.m.

    Darrell Eugene, son of John and Alice (Green) Lisby was born November 3, 1927, in Fountain Grove. On July 2, 1949, he married Donnie McGuffin.
    Darrell had been a mechanic for Sears and AT&T.
    He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Linneus for over 60 years. He was a US Air Force and US Navy Veteran of World War II. He had been a cook on a US Navy transport ship and was a police officer for the Air Force Police in Germany.
    Survivors include his wife, Donnie Lisby of Wheeling; four sons, Dale Lisby and wife, Kathy of Kaysville, Utah, Jerry Lisby and friend, Charlene Botkin and John Lisby and wife, Laura J. all of Wheeling, and James Lisby and friend, Margaret Bussey of Aurora, Illinois; one daughter, Linda Lisby and friend, Robert Bennett of Aurora, Illinois; and 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
    His parents and one brother, Dale Lisby preceded him in death.
