  • Colleen Gallagher, 81, Kansas City, formerly of Topeka, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Primrose Retirement Community in Kansas City.
    The family will receive friends Friday, August 1, 2014, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, from 6 until 8 in the evening and will include a time for sharing memories of Colleen. The family and friends will gather Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 12 p.m., followed by a graveside service in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.

    She was the daughter of Lonzo and Rementa (Ross) Watson and was born July 8, 1933, in Brookfield. On August 15, 1948, she married Gilbert Ray Gallagher who preceded her in death March 5, 1998.
    Colleen was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
    Survivors include two sons, Dennis R. Gallagher and Michael Gallagher and wife, Debra all of Liberty; four grandchildren, Brenda Gallagher of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Heather Drewior and husband, Kenneth of Detroit, Michigan, Jonathon Ray Gallagher of Liberty, and Sara Colleen Wartner and husband, Cory of Excelsior Springs; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Grace, and Kenneth Drewior and Levi, Mason, Tyler, and Brystol Wartner; one sister, Shirley Dabler of Kansas City; one brother, Steve Foltz and wife, Sharon of Macon and a sister-in-law, Joyce Wilson Clapham of Brookfield; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and wonderful friends.
    Her parents; her stepfather, Ernest Foltz; two brothers, Jerry Watson and Mike Wilson; and one sister, June Carey also preceded her in death.
