On January 11 at the Bucklin City Council meeting, Mayor Don Noah signed the approval for the Bucklin water and sewer grant. This grant would allow a pipeline to be built to supply Bucklin with Rural Water. The grant would also cover cleaning sludge out of primary lagoon on the east wastewater treatment plant. This processes is ongoing.
Palmer Construction Incorporated has been hired by the City of Bucklin to install the new water line. They will meet at a later date with Allstate engineers. Theses engineers will survey the land and chart out the best spots to lay the pipes. This meeting date has not been announced.
“We have the permits and the grant,” says Mayor Noah, “Now we’re just waiting for the pre-construction conferences to be announced.” This date will be announced at a later date.
