Tonight at Chester Ray Stadium in Marceline, the Brookfield Bulldogs traveled to face off with their rival Marceline Tigers.
In what was a close game, with plenty of back and forth action, the Marceline Tigers took the Bell with a 13-6 victory in front of the home crowd.
The game was broken open in the beginning of the fourth quarter, when "The Belldozer" Matthew Bell broke through the Bulldogs defense for the go-ahead score. The Tigers were put in this position off of an 80+ yard reception from Austin Bruner to Jordan Tibbs.
This win ends the Bulldogs eight year run with the Bell, and drops them to 1-1 on the young season, The big win puts the Tigers to 2-0.
