Now that summer is here and school is out, it’s that time of the year when families load up and head out on much awaited vacations!!!
I would venture to guess that some of those plans have been in the making for several months and the excitement has almost reached its pinnacle. We have so many choices, too.
The beach, the mountains, busy theme parks, secluded hideaways, historical sites and cultural icons are all waiting for your arrival!
When you arrive, you will surely discover that you and yours are not the first people to have visited that spot! Even on the remotest trails, evidence that someone has been there will probably be evident.
Grandpa always said, “Leave the places you visit like you found them, or better.” He was right! Demonstrating responsible stewardship of the things God has given us is something we are all challenged to do.
And, wherever your seasonal adventures may take you, watch for God! God has woven His character into every bit of His creation. The earth and all that is in it represent a majestic canvass on which God has displayed His Divine creativity!
His intention was to make a place so amazingly wonderful that our enjoyment of life would be increased many times over! The song writer declared, “This is my Father’s world, and to my listening ears, all nature sings and around me rings the music of the spheres!
This is my Father’s world, I rest me in the thought of rocks and trees of skies and seas, His hand the wonders wrought!”
