Two seniors from Fort Osage High School have been honored by the Rotary Club of Independence as students of the month.

• Jacob Frazier is a varsity letter winner his sophomore and junior years in pole vault. He has multiple ASE student certifications in automotive technology. He is active in SkillsUSA and is a western district officer.

He has been accepted to attend the Linn State Technical College in the Caterpillar dealership technician program and he will begin an internship June 1.

He is the son of Julie and Jeff Frazier.

• Bailey Jo Brockmeyer is the first Fort Osage student to be the MO Area VI FFA president. She attained chapter degree for FFA, and a state FFA leadership pin, She is also in the National Technical Honor Society.

She is in the A+ program. Outside school, she is a member of Harvest Baptist Church and took part in a mission trip to Puerto Rico.

She plans to become a kindergarten teacher, which has always been her goal, which was strengthened in her tutoring for the A+ program.

Her parents are Jim and Kay Brockmeyer.
