Terry Duane Wright, age 70 of Bevier formerly of Marceline, died Monday, April 03, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital, Macon. Terry was born at Marceline, Missouri on January 20, 1947 to Denzil Oscar and Barbara (Thomas) Wright. He married Connie D. Compton on November 11, 1967 and she survives him.
Terry had worked as a custodian at Marceline R-5 and was a farmer. He was a member of the Kaseyville Baptist Church, attended Macon Presbyterian Church and had been a lifelong Marceline resident until moving to Bevier this past year.
He is survived by his wife Connie of the home in Bevier, sons, Cory Wright and wife Teresa, Marceline and their children, Lucas and wife Kayla and their daughter Rozlyn; and Madalyn Wright, Kendall Wright and wife Deana, Marceline and their children, Caleb, Keegan and Canaan, daughters, Tara Morgan and Farrell Morgan and their children Brayden and Brentyn, and Rachel Wright and fiancé Layne Stamp, all of Macon; and sister-in-law Nancy Wright, Marceline. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronnie Wright.
Graveside services will be held at 1PM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Peden Chapel Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Memorials may be made to the family to be distributed to causes close to Terry’s heart and sent to 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
Steven L. Klinger, age 57, a resident of Browning, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017, in Chillicothe, Missouri.
Steven was born the son of Walter and Phyllis (Masini) Klinger on October 14, 1959, in Sterling, Illinois. He worked as a welder for Conagra Fab for many years. He also worked as a custodian. Steven enjoyed dirt track racing, motorcycles, playing pool, growing the first and largest tomatoes, and cutting wood. He was a great story teller and led an adventurous life. He was his girls number one sports fan.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Phyllis Meiners and husband Lyle of Sterling, Illinois; three daughters, Jessica Klinger of Browning, Missouri, Rachel Alexander of Brookfield, Missouri, and Samantha Klinger of Browning, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ransom and Gavin Wood of Browning, Missouri, Trace and Maxwell Alexander of Brookfield, Missouri, and Tinsley Search of Browning, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Benson of Georgia, and Karla (Klinger) Garza of Sterling, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and one granddaughter, Kendall Wood.
A family visitation will be held at the Browning Community Center, Browning, Missouri, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at the family farm at a later date. Janice Maureen Calvert, age 81, of Marceline, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 2, 2017 at High Hill Chapel, Bucklin, Missouri with Reverend Bill Birdsong officiating. Burial will follow at High Hill Cemetery, Bucklin, Missouri. A visitation was held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Rhodes Funeral Home. Janice Maureen, daughter of Fred L. McClellan and Nola Marie (Paramore) McClellan, was born on August 5, 1935 in Logan, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Bill Calvert who preceded her in death in 1993. Janice was a member of the Assembly of God church, Marceline, Missouri. She enjoyed playing the piano and the organ, crocheting, and birdwatching.
She is survived by three daughters, Joan Duey and husband Jeff, Marceline; Cheryl Finney and husband Jeneil, Shelby; and Michelle Calvert, Marceline; two sisters Janene Schneider, Logan, Kansas; Joyce Schmidt, Salina Kansas; one brother, Laurel McClellan, Anthony, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Scott Warner, Nashville, TN; Alisha Brown and fiancé Matt, Kansas City, MO; Jeremy Brown and wife Katie, Kansas City, MO; Mackenzie Duey, Marceline; Melody Calvert, Brookfield; Jasmine Calvert,, Brookfield; Sasha Parker, MN; Megan Lynn, Excelsior Springs, MO; and Alec Finney, Shelby; and eight great-grandchildren, Roman Brown, Owen Warner, Justice Hulett, Dillon Hulett, Wyatt Lynn, Joey Parker, Drae Parker, and Kai Parker
Janice was also preceded in death by her parents.
Steven Bumback, age 64, of Liberty, formerly of Laclede, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Ashton Court Care and Rehab Center.
