Isabel Stanley

Isabel G. Stanley, age 97 of Marceline, died Sunday, June 25, 2017 at McLarney Manor, Brookfield. Isabel was born at Marceline, Missouri on June 14, 1920 to Harry and Inez (Wolfe) Conklin. She married Earl Neal Stanley on July 7, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Isabel had worked at Walsworth Publishing.
She is survived by her daughter Margaret McLeod and husband Doug of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; two grandsons, Kevin McLeod and Sara, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Steven McLeod and Selena, Oakville, Ontario; and four great grandchildren Fiona, Carys, Oliver and Claudia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and half sister Margaret Austin.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with visitation starting at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and mailed to 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.

Viola Crist

Viola Lucille (Vi) Crist, age 97, of Brookfield, passed away, Monday, June 26, 2017, at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2017, at 1:00 pm at Rhodes Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm beginning with an Eastern Star Service, provided by Florence Chapter #124, with Reverend Sue Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield, MO. Viola was born on August 4, 1919 in Linneus, Missouri, the daughter of Guy Elmer Mace and Leatha Ellen (McIntrye) Mace. She was joined in marriage on April 16, 1937, in Brookfield, Missouri to Leonard Charles Frazier and on September 12, 1950, in Warsaw, Missouri to Curt Crist, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Crist attended the Linneus and Brookfield public schools. She was employed Forty years with Brown Shoe Company in Brookfield until her retirement. She was later employed by Brookfield Housing Authority and Wal-Mart Pharmacy prior to moving to Kirksville in 1991 to be near her son. Viola moved back to Brookfield June 22, 2012 to the Brookfield Housing Unit, and in 2014 moved to Life Care Center. Mrs. Crist was a member of the First Christian Church and OES Florence Chapter #124 of Brookfield, MO.
She is survived by one son Richard Leonard (Dick) Frazier and his wife Claudine of Novinger, MO; four grandchildren, Guy Ray Frazier and wife Janet Faith of Hallsville, MO, Richard Leonard Frazier II and wife Mary Ellen of Laclede, MO, Claudia Lynne Timbrook and husband Russell Lloyd (Rusty) Timbrook of Lentner, MO, and Theodore Ezra (TeddE) Frazier and wife Alice Ann of Jackson, OH; eight great grandchildren, Cortney Lynne Beckmann and husband Bryan Michael Charles of Kirksville, MO, Clarence Jayd Frazier of Novinger, MO, Julia Lynne and Guy Russell Timbrook of Lentner, MO, Lauren May Frazier and fiancée Derek Alexander Dixon of St. Louis, MO, Kristen Richelle Frazier of St. Louis, MO, and Haley Nicole and Taylor Ezra Frazier of Jackson, OH; two great- great grandsons: Edwyn Frazier Beckmann and Emryc Mace Beckmann of Kirksville, MO.
Viola was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; Elmer Thomas (Lighting), Earl Ray (Pude), Harold Belmont (Duck) and Theodore Walter (Sunshine/Sunny) Mace; two sisters, Mary Willard and Pearl Schaefer; and one great-grandson, Theodore Ezra Frazier II

Lila Lorenz

Lila Lorenz, age 90, of Purdin, died Monday, June 26, 2017, at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
A funeral service will be Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Steve Long officiating. Burial will be in Purdin Cemetery in Purdin. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

Lila Mae, daughter of Grover and Susie (Gilmer) Garrett was born April 15, 1927, in Purdin. On August 2, 1947, she married James A. Lorenz who preceded her in death on January 29, 2000.
Lila was retired from Purdin Mercantile Company in Purdin where she worked as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the former United Methodist Church in Purdin and a member of the Linn County Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Lila loved to play cards and work crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Baskett of Chillicothe, and Kathy Lowther and husband, Mike of Brookfield; five grandchildren, Michelle Kirkland and husband, Dale of Chillicothe, Stacy Proctor and husband, Royce of Cameron, James Baskett and wife, Yinsheng of North Kansas City, Todd Lowther of Marceline, and Adrienne Pollard and husband, Justin of Brookfield; seven great-grandchildren, Bradley Ogle, Joshua Kirkland, Madelyn Proctor, Gavin Proctor, William Baskett, Isabel Baskett, Quinci Pollard, and baby Pollard on the way; two sisters, Carolee Peterson and husband, Pete of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and Doris Erskine of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Her parents; and five sisters, Frances Thorne, Louise Hoover, Vivian Shanks, Mary Kimbrough, and Esther Nichols also preceded her in death.
