Francis Dale Rippenkroeger, 78, passed away July 6, 2017 at his home in rural Boonville, Missouri, after a long illness.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday July 15, 2017 at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, Missouri. Visitation will be on hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Cremation has been entrusted to Howard Funeral Home.
Francis was born June 16, 1939 in Pilot Grove, Iowa, the son of Ed Rippenkroeger and Rose Baldwin Rippenkroeger. He was a conductor with the Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and did so every chance he had until failing health prevented it.
Francis was of the Catholic faith and attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Fort Madison High School. He served his country in the United States Navy Air.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Kenneth Rippenkroeger of Texas and one grandson. He is survived by his wife Mary of the home, sons, Doug (Jenny) Rippenkroeger and Donnie Rippenkroeger, both of Oklahoma, one daughter, Sandra (Don) Schneider of West Burlington, Iowa, a brother Donald (Kay) Rippenkroeger, of California, and a sister Audrey (Ron) Foster, of Wyoming, and several nieces and nephews.
