The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will feature two Halloween-themed programs this fall, with a family concert Oct. 14 featuring Lemony Snicket’s murder mystery “The Composer is Dead” and a screening of Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” with the score played live by SLSO musicians Nov. 2-4.

Families are encouraged to arrive early for the Oct. 14 concert to visit the SLSO’s instrument Playground, an interactive experience at Powell Hall where children can explore, touch and play instruments of the orchestra. Costumes are encouraged and trick-or-treat stations will be available prior to the concert.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by slso.org or by calling the box office at (314) 534-1700.
