Ronald Poole, 34 of Brookfield, appeared in Division I of the Sullivan County Circuit on March 4 and entered a guilty plea to the class A felony of Assault in the First Degree, the unclassified felony of Armed Criminal Action and the class D felony of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Pursuant to a plea bargain made between Poole and the State of Missouri, Sullivan County Judge James Spencer sentenced Poole to serve 25 years of imprisonment for the offense of Assault in the First Degree, 20 years imprisonment for the offense of Armed Criminal Action, and four years imprisonment for the offense of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. All three sentences will run concurrently, and Poole will be required to serve 85 percent of the 25-years sentence before being considered for parole; he will be required to serve the entire 20 years for the Armed Criminal Action charge.
Chase Jackson, 21 of Brookfield, appeared in Division I of Sullivan County Circuit Court on March 4 and entered a guilty plea to the unclassified felony of Forcible Rape, the class C felony of Burglary in the Second Degree, and the class C felony of Stealing a motor vehicle.
Jackson pled guilty to raping a 70-year-old Brookfield woman and then fleeing to Louisville, KY. in a car he stole in Marceline.
Pursuant to a plea bargain made between Jackson and the State of Missouri, Sullivan County Judge James Spencer sentenced Jackson to serve 15 years imprisonment for the offense of Forcible Rape, four years imprisonment for the offense of Burglary in the Second Degree, and three years imprisonment for felony Stealing. All three sentences will run concurrently, and Jackson will be required to serve a minimum of 85 percent of the 15-year sentence before being considered for parole. Jackson will also have to register as a convicted sex offender upon his release from prison.
