The Brookfield Chamber of Commerce is in its NEW office space in the Kelly’s Printing & Petals building @ 110 E. Brooks. It is really nice and the location is handy. The new Green Hills phone books have just arrived so if you need another or many please stop by. We also have State Fair schedules. Brookfield Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8 am-Noon in Tormey Park. All growers & crafters are welcome…just call the chamber office to get the info!!! Come join us, we’d love to have you. We are members of the Missouri Farmers Market Association and Agri Mo.. It always starts off slow because the produce hasn’t started ripening yet but if we do not support our Farmers Market it will be NO MORE!!! What a vicious cycle it is…need shoppers to keep the vendors and need vendors to keep the shoppers…However you look at it we need you all.
Your Brookfield Sears Hometown Store will be having a 4th of July Sale going on from the 1st thru the 5th. Sounds like a great time to shop!
Company is coming to the Linn County 4-H Fair and BHS Alumni Weekend so let’s all participate in “Pick Up Brookfield Week”!!! July 5th-8th let’s pull the weeds, wash our windows, pick up the trash, sweep the sidewalks, touch up the paint, water the flowers, dress up the storefronts and help your neighbor if yours is already done. The Hope Haven Recycling Trailer will return next month to Southside Equipments parking lot at the Brookfield Plaza July 6th thru the 13th. Hope Haven will continue to empty each Friday & Monday mornings and picks up on Wednesday!!! Please be respectful of the location and service we have for our recycling. We are much bigger recyclers than they expected and they have started leaving us a big trailer before the weekend…That’s good!!!
Brookfield Public Library’s 2011 Summer Programs are held at 1:30PM on Thursdays, July 7, July 14, July 21 and July 28 for ages pre-school to 12 years old. The Programs consists of a story time, an activity and snacks. Sounds like lots of fun for the kiddies.

Brookfield’s Second Annual Alumni Weekend is July 15th and July 16th. Friday kicks off with the Alumni Golf Tournament at the Country Club, Party in the Park & Alumni Jam (at the East Twin Parks) Friday from 3pm-Midnight. The Alumni Band will play at 5pm. Saturday there’s the 5-10K Memorial Walk/Run, Washers, Softball tournament, Cemetery Walk Brookfield by Bus Tours and that’s all before the Banquet and Dance. Get hold of your classmates and come join us at Brookfield’s 2nd Annual Alumni Weekend. If you have not signed up for the banquet please do so ASAP.
