Marceline Accident: Life Flight Called

Two Marceline residents were lifeflighted to University Hospital in Columbia after being involved in a single-vehicle accident just south of Westville in Chariton County Monday morning.
Carl V. Cordray, 91 of Marceline, was driving a 1995 Ford southbound on Williams Rd. two miles south of Westville shortly before 9:30 a.m. Monday when he ran off the roadway. The Ford then struck a fence before going into a shallow creek.
Carl Cordray, as well as his passenger, 68-year-old Jerry D. Cordray, sustained serious injuries according to investigating officer, Trooper Day. Trooper Day was assisted at the scene by Marceline First Responders, Linn and Chariton County Ambulance, Marceline Firefighters, and personnel with the Chariton County Sheriff’s Office.
