The grandson of Linneus United Methodist Church Pastor Sue Lambert will be receiving a HALO (Helping And Leading Others) award on the TeenNick HALO Awards program to be televised on TeenNick Friday at 7 p.m.
According to the stltoday.com website, the HALO Awards are designed to “recognize and celebrate real teens who are making a difference in the world.”
Brryan Jackson, the 18-year-old grandson of Rev. Lambert, will be receiving a HALO award for his creation of “Hope Is Vital,” an HIV/AIDS awareness organization that strives to educate others about the infection and challenges faced by those afflicted with HIV/AIDS. Brryan is also a volunteer staff member at Camp Kindle where young people who have contracted HIV or AIDS can receive much needed social support.
