The Marceline Tigers and Lady Tigers spent last week at the Keytesville Tournament, with both squads earning shots at trophies at the event.

In the girls Third Place game, the Lady Tigers took on Bevier.  Both teams missed a lot of shots early on, with Bevier scoring first 90 seconds in.  Gladbach responded for the Lady Tigers at the 6:00 mark.  Marceline gave up a lot of offensive boards early, leading to a lot of easy baskets by Bevier.  After one quarter, Marceline trailed 14-6.
A steal by Courtney Davis and a hoop by Gladbach started things off well in the second quarter for the Lady Tigers.  Marceline shot the ball better, but missed free throws, and were still getting physically out-matched.  At halftime, the Lady Tigers trailed 34-20.

In the boys Championship game, the Tigers again did battle with Salisbury.  A free throw from Floray opened scoring in the game, but a 12-0 Salisbury run through the remainder of the frame would put Marceline down 12-1 after one quarter.
A hoop by McGlothlin one minute into the second quarter ended the Salisbury run.  The Marceline defense did a good job of limiting the Salisbury offense to one shot, and the offense sparked with an opening 4-0 run.  At halftime, the Tigers trailed 24-12.
