The Bucklin Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs celebrated Homecoming last night at the gymnasium at Bucklin to a large crowd against the Atlanta Hornets in Tri-County Conference action.  The black and red warriors fell in both contests.

Atlanta opened the girls game with a 10-0 run, ending with a Jessica Depriest long-distance two-pointer.  The Lady Bulldogs trouble with Atlanta’s three-quarter court press resulted in Bucklin being down 10-2 after one quarter.
Atlanta opened the second quarter on another 10-0 run, ending with  a Rachel Sattman basket around the 5:00 mark.  A 4-0 run by the Lady Bulldogs built some momentum, but they would still trail 24-6 at the half.

Homecoming King Collin Inacio put the Bulldogs on his back early in the nightcap, including a sweet touch-pass hoop coming from the inbounds pass by Anthony Kitchen.  A 6-0 run by the Bulldogs was matched late in the frame, and this game was tied 12-12 after one quarter.
Atlanta struck first in the second quarter, but a hoop by Lake McCollum responded.  A 4-0 run by Atlanta would give the visitors the lead, 22-18 at the half.
