The Marceline Middle School “A” basketball teams are taking part in this week’s Lewis and Clark Conference tournament at Tiger Fieldhouse.
The Tigers opened against Salisbury, and lost a 37-35 heartbreaker. Daniel Corbin scored 16 points, Makenzie Fessler had 13, Jordan Sayre had four, and Bryce Jobson had two.
The Lady Tigers won their second round game over Fayette 33-22. Molly Shoop scored 15 points, Elaine Ewigman had six, Jacee Brooks had five, Natalie Allen had five, and Abbie Peiffer had two.
The boys bounced back in the Consolation round with a 43-26 win over Slater. Daniel Corbin had 24 points, Makenzie Fessler had seven, Bryce Jobson had six, Jordan Sayre had four, and Jared Best had two.
The Lady Tigers play for first place in the Lewis and Clark Conference on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. Tiger Fieldhouse.
