Doug “Spook” Howe

Doug Howe, age 61, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri passed away on Friday April 13, 2018 at his residence.

Doug was born the son of Willie Ray and Margaret Ilene (Stevenson) Howe on August 12, 1956 in Chillicothe, Missouri.  He was a 1974 graduate of Meadville High School, Meadville, Missouri.  On November 16, 1990 Doug was united in marriage to Marsha Haynes in Meadville, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on March 3, 2000.  He was then united in marriage to Rhonda Sue Flemming on March 29, 2004 in the Bahamas.   Doug worked on his family farm all of his life.    

Survivors include: one son Willie Ray Howe II of Meadville, Missouri, one daughter Erin Maulsby and husband Wes of Milan, Missouri, one step-daughter Lacey Spicer and husband Lee of Cameron, Missouri, two brothers; Steve Howe and wife Bev of Wheeling, Missouri and Larry Howe and wife Diana of Wheeling, Missouri, five grandchildren and several nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marsha and wife Rhonda.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe Missouri on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.  A family visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home Chillicothe, Missouri.  Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home Chillicothe, Missouri on Monday from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m.  Burial will be held at the Wheeling Cemetery Wheeling, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadville Lions Club for the purchase of softball bleachers and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home P.O.  John Danko, Jr.

John Danko, Jr., age 74, of Linneus, died Sunday, April 15, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Linneus with Pastor Sue Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Linneus. Services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.

John Joseph, Jr., son of John and Helen (Student) Danko, was born January 7, 1944, in Derby, Connecticut. On May 23, 1970, he married Mary Ellen Ham who preceded him in death on September 13, 2013.

John had worked at Life Care Center in Brookfield and most recently for the City of Linneus until his retirement in 2006.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion both of Linneus.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Emily Truitt and husband, Tony of Linneus and Iris Anne Ferguson and husband, Tony of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Marc Jungles and Samantha Gibson, Matthew Jungles, and Paige Truitt all of Linneus, Bradley Ferguson and Brett Ferguson of Chillicothe and Colin Ferguson of Trenton; four great-grandchildren, Carter Nickolas Jungles, Mallorie Gibson, Mayscie Crowe, and Piper Marie Vansickle all of Linneus; and two sisters, Jane Botti of Ansonia, Connecticut, and Sandy (Cooky) Parkosewich of Seymour, Connecticut.

His parents; two sisters, Shirly Sala and Dorothy Madzik; and son-in-law, Nick Jungles also preceded him in death.

Deon Waddill

Deon Waddill, age 79, of Brookfield, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center, Marceline.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 at the First Christian Church, Brookfield, with Mandy Wiedeman officiating.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2018, and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield. Elvin Deon, son of Hillis and Rosa Marie (Slaughter) Waddill, was born June 16, 1938 in Yarrow. On October 29, 1961 he married Nadine Phyllis Farson, who preceded him in death on January 3, 2017.

Deon was a parts salesman for Carquest and a United States Army veteran. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Brookfield and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Renae Waddill, Brookfield and Charlyn (Robert) Knowles, Laclede; two grandchildren T.J. (Roxanne) Knowles, Brookfield and Beth Bagley, Brookfield; four great grandchildren, Trace and Brooklyn Knowles and Hayden and Sydnee Bagley; and one sister-in-law, Ethella McKee, Green Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ellis Waddill; one sister-in-law, Linda Waddill, and two brothers-in-law; Leroy (Noreta) Long and Jim McKee
