John A. “Jack” Niemeier, age 72 of the Wien community, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at his home. Jack was born in Wien, Missouri on December 27, 1945 to Henry P. and Margaret M. (Kunkel) Niemeier. He married Karen Nanneman on August 16, 1969 at Wien.

Jack was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a truck driver. He and Karen owned and operated Wien Feed and Grocery for many years and was a member of the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien.

He is survived by his wife Karen Niemeier of the home in Wien, daughters, Christy Sanning and Chris of Festus, Paula Niemeier of Lake Ozark, Debbie Fischer and Kevin of Bynumville, and Becki Collier and Matt of California, MO, ten grandchildren, Caleb, Eli, Annamae and “Coming soon” Sanning, Chance and Quynn Fischer, and Jacob, Hayden, Emilia and Henry Jack Collier, one great granddaughter Brianna Collier, five brothers and sisters, Irene Steffes of Nixa, Verl Niemeier of New Cambria, Ches and Peggy Niemeier of New Cambria, Donna Sullivan of Belton, Terry and Norma Niemeier of Pleasant Valley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.P. and Margaret Niemeier, sister Dianne Linebaugh and brother , . Henry "Dick" Niemeier 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Marceline with burial in St.  Mary’s Cemetery in Wien. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM with Rosary at 7 PM Friday, September 14at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Restoration Fund and mailed to 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
