Genevieve Parvin, 103, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, in McCollough Cemetery, Triplett, with Rev. Wendell Turner officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline.
Genevieve was born July 27, 1907, in Marceline, daughter of Robert F. and Rebecca Susan (Fox) Robinson. She married Jean Parvin, June 4, 1933. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1992.
Genevieve was a retired school teacher, a Methodist, and a resident of Carthage the last several years.
Survivors include 11 nieces and nephews including locally, Harold Robinson, Marceline; Janice Silvey, Brookfield; and Joe Robinson, Carthage; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Omer Robinson; and five sisters, Ann Salisbury, Mildred Murray, Nellie VanDyke, Mary McCollom, and Fannie Virts.
