Viola Mary Washam, 94, Wien, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, in St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Wien, with Father Jerry Kaimann officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at the church with rosary at 7:15 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wien. Pallbearers will be Doug, Tom, Shawn and Tony Clark, Jim and John Strautman, and Travis Jordan.

Viola was born October 28, 1914, in Wien, daughter of William and Ellen (Bixenman) Schiltz. She married Francis A. Clark, June 30, 1932. He preceded her in death October 23, 1981. She then married George Washam, July 6, 1985. He also preceded her in death August 22, 1996.
Viola was a homemaker, had worked at Walsworth Publishing for 12 years, and King Processing for one year. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Wien, the Altar and Rosary Sodality of the church, and a Wien resident most of her life.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis F. and Norma Clark and Neal C. and Karen Clark, Brookfield; a daughter, Shelly Jordon, Ft. Madison, Iowa; three sisters, Edna Clark, Wien, Leona Doman, Marceline, and Alfreda O’Halleron, Las Vegas, Nev. 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary William Clark; one daughter, Joetta Peterson; a son-in-law, Ray Peterson; one grandson; three brothers; and one sister.
