Helen Eudema Head, 91, Brookfield, died Sunday morning, Feb. 28, 2010, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Pastora Merlyn Head officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in North Salem Cemetery, North Salem.

Helen Eudema was born August 24, 1918, in North Salem, daughter of James and Lela (Head) Swisegood. She married Eldon Head, February 9, 1941, in Linneus. He preceded her in death October 6, 1992.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Merlyn Head, General Santos, Phillipines, and Rudy and Jeannine Head, St. Catharine; one daughter and son-in-law, Erma and Don Helms, Brookfield; four grandchildren, Jessee and wife, Missey Head, Columbia, Trisha and husband, Todd Johanningsmeier, Brookfield, Allen Head, Kirksville, and Lindsay and husband, Tim Howerton, Overland Park, Kan.; 10 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Dolores Jacobs, Brookfield, and Evelyn Gailbroith, Urbana, Ill.; and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Patricia Ann Head; seven brothers and sisters; one granddaughter, Melody Head; one great-granddaughter, Kaylen Grace Johanningsmeier; and several nieces and nephews.
