Stanton Lee Garr, 55, Rothville, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, near Columbia, as the result of an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Rothville Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Smith officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 that evening.

Stanton Lee was born May 4, 1956, in Brookfield, son of Stanton Lewis and Clara Eliza (Asbury) Garr. He had been married to Richelle Smith.
He was a 1974 graduate of Northwestern High School where he was a member of the FFA. He had worked for Thorco Manufacturing, Lamar, and Wal-Mart, Brookfield, since 2003. He was a member of Rothville Baptist Church and National Grange.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Stanetta and Steven Hoover, Adrian; a lady friend, Debbie Miller, Brookfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Clara Lou and Tom Bowlin, Kansas City; three nephews, Kyle and wife, Jasmine Bowlin, Denver, Colo., Ross and wife, Julie Bowlin, Murrietta, Calif., and Dwight Bowlin, Fort Campbell, Ky.; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Hank, Rylee and Logan Bowlin, and Noah Bocca; four aunts, Leona Otey, Bloomington, Ill., Bettie Forbach, Leawood, Kan., Bertie and husband, Harold Munson, Omaha, and Mary Sue Greening, Blue Springs; one uncle, Pete and wife, Hildred Garr, Brookfield; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sterling Garr; and several aunts and uncles.
