Berniece Van Dusseldorp, 95, Milan, died Thursday morning, Feb. 4, 2010, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Milan United Methodist Church with Rev. J. Michael Davis and David Van Dusseldorp officiating. Music will be provided by Michelle Dickson and Rhonda McCracken. The body was cremated with the ashes will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Milan, following the service, under the direction of Glenn E. Kent & Son Funeral Home, Milan. Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren.
Berniece was born March 13, 1914, near Pella, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Jennie (Zigler) Brom. She married Marion S. Van Dusseldorp, June 3, 1930, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He preceded her in death September 19, 1991.
Mrs. Van Dusseldorp was raised near Pella and lived there until 1961, when she and her husband moved to the Milan area where they farmed. She was a member of Milan United Methodist Church, the Sarah Circle, and the Garden Club.
Survivors include four sons, Ralph Van Dusseldorp, Kenai, Ark., Ray Van Dusseldorp, Milan, Butch Van Dusseldorp, Brookfield, and Rodger Van Dusseldorp, Kansas City; two daughters, Marilyn Van Dusseldorp, Monticello, Fla., and Connie Van Dusseldorp, Brookfield; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Van Dusseldorp.
