Ruth Cleo Bailey, 90, formerly of New Boston, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Renshaw Funeral Home, Bucklin, with Rev. Frank Dewitt officiating. Visitation will begin at noon today, Aug. 29, 2008, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Winigan.
Memorials to Calvary Baptist Church may be left at or mailed to the funeral home at 32 Oak St., P.O. Box 134, Bucklin, Mo. 64631.
Ruth was born September 17, 1917, near New Boston, daughter of Charles Alfred and Pearlie Mae (King) H elms. She married Kenneth Lavern Bailey, May 20, 1940. He preceded her in death January 15, 1997.
She was a homemaker and along with her husband had farmed in the New Boston area most of their lives.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ermil L. and Pat Bailey, New Boston, and Wayne E. and Mary Bailey, Alton, Iowa; one daughter and son-in-law, Luella M. and Sam Blades, Tipton; one sister, Ruby N. Ervie, Milan; one sister-in-law, Carolyn  Helms, New Boston; five grandchildren, Sonia and Steve Bates, Republic, Jan and Mark Patton, Sedalia, David Bailey, Olathe, Kan., Laura and Jim Voros, Stanford, Conn., and Julie and David Byers, New Boston; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Curt, Carl and Earl Helms.
