Josephine Ann Overton, 71, Brookfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Mike Myers officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.

Josephine was born August 27, 1938, in Rush Hill, daughter of Albert and Georgia (Kersting) Fischer. She married Phillip Overton, August 26, 1962, in Brookfield. He preceded her in death January 15, 1985.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mick and Susie Overton, Brookfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jeff Powell, Clearfield, Iowa; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Betty Kopesky, Collinsville, Ill., Jane and CW Ulry, Lawrence, Kan., Dorothy and Bob Agee, Gower, and Rose and Bob Carlson, Shell Knob; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Linda Fischer, Mexico, and John and Gloria Fischer, Forsyth; grandchildren, Seth and Samantha Overton, Brookfield, and Allison, Grace, Emily and Mae Powell, Clearfield, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Bobby Fischer.
