Wilma Curtis, 96, Brookfield, formerly of Laclede, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Pershing Memorial Hosptial, Brookfield.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Church, Brookfield, with Father Jerry Kaimann officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rosary at 6 p.m. and the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Columban’s Cemetery, Chillicothe.
Annajane Wilma was born December 18, 1913, in Fargo, N.D., daughter of Raymond Joseph and Estella (Eveland) Posch. She married Samuel Curtis, September 3, 1940. He preceded her in death October 26, 1985.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Brookfield, where she was active in the Legion of Mary, the Altar Society, and had taught Catechisms in Preschool. She was also an honorary member of the Sisters of St. Francis, Savannah.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Marjorie and Gary Carter, Laclede, and Theresa Curtis, Brookfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Nattie Curtis, Tracy, Calif., and Patrick and Barbara Curtis, St. Joseph; eight grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Ralph Wilson, Chillicothe.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph Curtis; a great-grandson, Carter Wynne Sego; one brother, Robert Posch; and one sister, Geneva (Sister Celine) Posch.
