Charles Robert Baugher, 85, Brookfield, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Park Baptist Church, Brookfield, with Rev. David Blakely officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials to Park Baptist Church Building Fund may be left at or mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, Mo. 64628.
Charles Robert was born September 21, 1924, in Brookfield, son of D. Leslie and Alice (Lindberg) Baugher. He married Frances Riddle, November 24, 1951.
Mr. Baugher owned and operated Baugher Insurance Agency in Brookfield for 40 years. He graduated from Bucklin High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Park Baptist Church, Brookfield, where he served as a Deacon since 1968, and was also a Charter member of Brookfield Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; two sons, Tom Baugher, Austin, Texas, and Jim Baugher, Overland Park, Kan.; and two grandchildren, Jon Jarvis and Lora Leone and husband, Michael, all of Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Mattie (Bailey) Baugher; a daughter, Beth Ann Jarvis; one sister, Geraldine Yagel; and a brother-in-law, Milo Yagel.
