Margie Elizabeth Brown, 92, Rothville, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at St. Luke’s North Hospital, Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline, with Rev. Bob Seaman officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Marceline United Methodist Church may be left at or mailed to the funeral home at 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, Mo. 64658.
Margie was born September 5, 1917, in Goldsberry, daughter of Glendon and Frances (Ethridge) Pritchard. She married Gerald Raymond Brown, March 25, 1950. He preceded her in death in April 1991.
Margie was a hairdresser in Marceline for many years and was owner and operator of Vivian’s. She graduated from Goldsberry High School, was a member of Marceline United Methodist Church, and had lived in Chillicothe the past 15 years.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, William E. and Rochelle Wicklund, Liberty, and Michael A. and Kay Wicklund, Doniphan; a sister, Betty June Placke, Edwardsville, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and five sisters.
