Frances Falconer, 89, rural Slater, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Slater, with Rev. David L. Duncan officiating. Bethany Weiker will be organist, and Myra Jones will be soloist. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Ed Peel, Ben Frazee, Dr. Joseph Santigo, Chris Carter, Arlene Kaufman and Jerry Falconer. Honorary pallbearers will be Beno Messer, Scott Rasa, Kevin Falconer, and Donald, Steven and Marty Campbell.
Memorials to Girls Town of Missouri or the Lottie Moon Ministry may be left at or mailed to Weiker Funeral Home, Slater, Mo. 65349.
She was born August 19, 1920, north of Slater, daughter of Samuel and Bertha (Brumit) Gilliam. She married Edwin Dale Falconer, December 31, 1957, in Slater. He preceded her in death October 17, 2001.
Mrs. Falconer was a member of First Baptist Church, Slater, and a former member of Davis Extension Club and Vivian Lessley Study Club.
Survivors include a son, Robert Sherman, Higginsville; daughters, Gale Mueller, Columbia, Ill., Kay Campbell, Pollock, and Judy Steele, Gladstone; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Edwin Dale Falconer, Jr.
