Mary Lee Bartels, 63, Triplett, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center, Marceline.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Brookfield, Missouri Highway 36 and Highway FF, with Darrell Harris officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Cremation arrangements were by Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick.

Mary was born December 20, 1946, in Chillicothe, daughter of Ray and Sylvia (Frizell) Swagerty. She married David Lee Bartels, Sr., October 2, 1965, in St. Joseph.
She graduated in 1964 from Southwest High School, Ludlow. She had been a homemaker and worked as a clerk at Wal-Mart, Brookfield. She was a member of the Brookfield Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, David Bartels, Jr., Overland Park, Kan., and James Aaron Bartels, Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Rachel Pandit, Georgetown, Grand Caymon British West Indies; two sisters, Wanda Stottlemeyer, Chillicothe, and Sherry Handschin, Warner Robbins, Ga.; four brothers, Bob Swagerty, Havre, Mont., Dan Swagerty, Chillicothe, Sam Swagerty, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Mike Swagerty, Buena Park, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Harold Swagerty.
