Albert Wayne Gregston, 73, Independence, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Center Point Medical Center, Independence.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Wood Chapel United Methodist Church, 4725 Lake Woods Way, Lee’s Summit. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Albert W. Gregston Memorial Fund may be mailed to 17019 E. 31st. Street, Independence, Mo. 64055.
Al was born May 20, 1937, in Duncan, Okla., son of King and Iva Gregston. He married Judy Lewis, formerly of Brookfield, in 1963.
Al retired from General Motors, Fairfax District, Kansas City, Kan., after 34 years.
Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; sons, Scott and Kate Gregston, Lee’s Summit, and Mark and Sandi Gregston, Parker, Colo.; a daughter, Cyndi and Brian Sloan, Grain Valley; son, Earl and Myong Hee D’Alessanero, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, Taylor, Conner, Camery, Kylie, Jordon, Lake, Brek, Emily, Meghan, Kelsie, Jennifer and Stephanie; two brothers, Weldon and Glenda Gregston, Grain Valley, and Robert Roff, Enid, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Jean Hicks and Bette and Gene Gash, Brookfield; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, two sisters, one brother, and a brother-in-law, Jess Hicks.
