Ruth M. Lane, 94, Marceline, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
There is no scheduled service at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
She was born November 9, 1915, daughter of Charles Wesley and Virginia (Hatch) Smith. She married William D. Lane, October 14, 1944, in Charlotte, N.C. He preceded her in death.
She served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Survivors include one son, James Lane, Keytesville; six grandchildren, Jimmie, Charla, Dale, Frank, Annie and Darin Lane; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Louise, Muriel, Gertrude, and Vivian; and one brother, Wesley.
