The Tolton baseball team’s season ended with a 13-8 loss to Cole Camp in the first round of the Class 3 District 13 Tournament in California.

Joe Sinek went 4 for 4 with a home run and four RBI. Derrick Evers went 3 for 4.

Class 4 District 9 Tournament: Southern Boone beat St. James 3-2 in the first round in Sullivan and will face top-seeded Helias in the semifinals. Blair Oaks advanced to the semifinals with a 4-0 victory over Sullivan. The Falcons (18-8) will play Salem (17-3) on Saturday.

Class 1 District 11 Tournament: Jamestown advanced to the semifinals with a 12-0 victory over Glasgow in Pilot Grove. On Thursday, Prairie Home advanced to a meeting with Pilot Grove in the semis by beating Higbee 7-6.

 

Girls soccer

St. Dominic 2, Helias 0: Helias dropped to 10-10 with a home loss.

 

College baseball

SLIAC Tournament: Westminster advanced to the championship game in Greenville, Ill., with a 5-0 win over Greenville and a 8-5 victory over Webster.

Sam Huesgen threw a complete-game shutout in the opener. Ryan Gvillo hit a two-run double, and Nick Cessna, Adam Mundle and Nick Bohlmann added RBI singles. In the second game, Mundle had a two-run double and Strebler drove in three runs with two hits.
