Brookfield's and Marceline's girls golf programs rendezvoused on Tuesday evening in Marceline, accompanied by the likes of Trenton and Putnam County. Brookfield won the four-team event, shooting 218 as a team, and Laken Sattman led the Bulldogs with a 47-stroke round. Only Trenton's Werthen Gass shot better on the afternoon, finishing with a 46 on the nine-hole course.
Trenton finished second, just one stroke behind the Bulldogs. The Tigers found themselves in fourth with a 233, four strokes behind Putnam County.
Brookfield's Demi Downey shot 53, Ally Jackman shot 58, Hannah Matheney shot a 60, and Quinsey Lane finished with a score of 68.
Whitney Sheffield had the strongest day from Marceline, posting a 54. Klea Dameron shot 56, Kate Cupp 61, Madison Gerdes a 62, and Emma Sheerman finished the course in 63 strokes.
