Linn County's scorers were hard at work on Thursday evening, defeating the host school of the Northwestern Invitational Tournament 85-62 in the tournament semifinal.

With the victory, the Mustangs earned a berth into the championship game against perennial champion Meadville at 7:30 on Saturday.

Linn County sophomore guard Michael O'Kane propelled his side to victory with a remarkable 19-point third quarter. O'Kane led all scorers with 31 points.

Jase White had 11 fourth-quarter points, and 24 in total. Kade Ward was the only other Linn County hoopster with more than one bucket, finishing with eight points.

Northwestern had three players scoring in double figures.
