Marceline senior golfer Trey Hamilton became the first Tiger of the 2018 class to extend his athletic career when signed his letter of intent on Monday. He will continue his competitive playing days in Fulton.

With his current and future coach, his parents, and his grandparents all in attendance, Hamilton committed to William Woods University.

Hamilton finished 11th in the state meet last season.

"Trey has worked hard this whole year, and it's nice to see all of that work from the offseason pay off," Marceline coach Tim Jordan said. "He has some goals he wants to accomplish this season, and signing to play at the next level was one of them. I'm happy for him. I know he'll be successful at the collegiate level because of his work ethic and positive attitude."
