The Brookfield boys' golf team finally got a chance to compete this week, traveling to Macon and Boonville on consecutive evenings.
On Wednesday night, the Bulldogs dueled the Tigers in Macon to no avail. Brookfield came back to the clubhouse with 244 strokes as a team, 69 behind the Tigers. Andrew Bragg led the Bulldogs with a nine-hole score of 52 strokes, worse than any varsity Macon golfer by five strokes. Dirk Sattman shot a 58, and Robert Davis surprised his team by returning to the clubhouse with a 63.
The following evening, the Bulldogs finished last of 11 teams with an 18-hole round of 464, 31 strokes behind any competitor.
Brookfield, weather pending, is scheduled to compete again in Chillicothe on Monday at 4 p.m.
