The Mustang baseball team managed to get a few games in last week, just its second and third games of the season.

They were held scoreless over the pair.

On Thursday evening, Linn County traveled to Salisbury and was routed 10-0.

On the following night, the Mustangs were dealt an 8-0 loss in North Shelby.

"We've missed out on several scoring opportunities and we couldn't put the ball in play at the right time," Linn County coach Joel Fields said. "We made some mental errors on defense. Things will improve when we get more games and quality practices under our belt.

"We looked like a team that hasn't seen much live pitching."
