The Marceline track and field teams were in action at home on Thursday evening, and both the boys and the girls had nothing but success in the six-team meet.
The boys' team score of 139 was eight points better than Fayette. The girls, on the other hand, scored 227 to topple Fayette by 161 points.
Northwestern, Centralia, Tina-Avalon, and Linn County were all in attendance as well.
The Marceline girls won every event aside from the 300-meter hurdles, shot put, and discus.
The boys faced more adversity, as they did not have a tremendous deal of point-grabbing in the sprints. Linn County's Caleb Schreiner dominated the 100- and 200-meter dashes, and the biggest point grab for the Tigers came in the discus. Marceline placed first, second, and third with seniors Dustin Kelly, Tyler Morris, and Noah Wright staving off the competition.
Senior Trevor Ganaway also won the shot put.
Junior distance runner Logan Swanson notched victories in both the 1600 and 3200 meters. Freshman Christopher Dixon won the 800-meter run.
The Tigers next competition is on Tuesday when they host once again.
