The Marceline middle school track team was finally able to compete for the first time this season this past Wednesday.

The girls won the five-team meet with Kirksville and Macon finishing second and third, respectively, and South Shelby and Bevier behind them.

Ramzee Bruner won both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. She also commandingly won both the high jump and triple jump events.

Emmy Smithheisler and Sarah Kussman took the top two spots in the 800-meter run. Rhea Krumpleman won the 1600 meters.

The boys finished second behind Kirksville by a considerable, 18-point margin.

Wyatt Molloy won the 400-meter dash and Brandon Jefferson won the 100-meter hurdles.
